During a major pastors and ministers leadership conference in the US, the hotel, where the ministers were staying, made an interesting observation: At night, privately in their rooms, 83% chose to watch porn channels.

This is not an isolated incident happening just in the US. This is an epidemic situation that affects many nations.

We have confidentially worked with pastors and minister leaders, both male and female for nearly 20 years regarding the issue of intimacy problems. As per usual, there are always two sides of a coin. Men are hurting just as much as women. This is a very delicate issue, and especially those in leadership find it difficult to confide in others.



The JOI Project Workshop is designed to assist you on your Journey of Intimacy – Intimacy with the Lord, Intimacy with yourself, and Intimacy with others, especially with your loved ones, e.g. your spouse or future spouse.

The JOI Project Workshop provides a feast of resources to bring healing, restoration, hope and joy. It also provides resources preventative in nature to encourage strengths and virtues resident in each of us. The emphasis is on a balance of spiritual and practical personal growth.

We address many areas where lack of knowledge and understanding might cause hindrances or disruptions in your journey to fulfill your divine assignments.

The inStrengths Ministries JOI Project also includes a section for those of you who are church and ministry leaders to help you create the optimum for your organizational relationships. If both home and organizational relationships run smoothly, then the Gospel mandate and ministry assignment can move forward in a more affective way!

Our online general workshops are designed to give you the practical help you need to make real changes in your life, together with prayer support and spiritual mentoring.

It is vitally important that you focus first on the JOI Poject before you can learn to experience the higher Bliss within the Inner Chamber!

It does not matter whether you are preparing for marriage, or are married for 50+ years. The pathway is always the same:

• 1 Intensify to Intimacy with God
• 2 TOTAL HONESTY - Deeply get to know Yourself First, then your partner
• 3 Learn skills, grow in knowledge and wisdom to create the relationship of your most cherished dreams

First of all, you will need to know precisely where you are on the map of your life and relationship right now, and where exactly you want to get to.... and why.

Who are you, I mean, who are you, actually, and what do you really want? Who defines your identity? Is your identity defined from the inside out and aligned with the way God sees you, or are you defined by the roles you play in life, and by other people?

Any change we hope to see in our lives will always go from the inside-out. It always starts with spirit, then moved through our soul and then the body.

Our identity first and foremost comes from the Spirit of the Living God in our spirt. So, let's take it from there.

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV).

Only when we perceive the face of the One in whose image we were made do we come to know who we are and the One for whom we were made. And because of whoHe is, to behold Him and remain inchanged is impossible.

Many hope that a relationship will give them a life, make them happy or feel better about themselves - give them an identity. Some seek for their partner to give them the approval they have been denied before, take care of them and give them a sense of validation of their own worth.

Only when you truly know yourself, both from the prespective of your divine identity, found only in the cavity of His heart and birthed in His Love, lavishing you with the reality of His goodness, His irresistible glory, being 100% for you, not against you; and respect who you are in the natural, too, delight in your own company, are certain of your own values, needs and goals; feel so full of the affirmation, strengths, and blessings, and recognition of God in your life that you are not looking to your spouse to get something you need met - only then will you be able to embark on the journey to understand your loved one, and the journey together. (To avoid misunderstandings here, God very often will meet your need through your spouse. The key here is to look to God to meet your need, not look to your spouse).

NOTE: Getting to know the true you, as taught here at inStrengths JOI, has nothing to do with self-centeredness which destroys relationships and marriages! Getting to know yourself means coming to a place of wholeness and maturity. It means taking full responsibility for your own life; taking full responsibility to change your own life and not that of others. Only that way will you be far more effective in relating, interacting and serving others. Jesus always brought people to personal wholeness before He send them out to minister to others.

This requires some serious prayerful thinking and 'soul' searching to discover your ways, that which is helpful, and that which is not. Discover the real beauty in you which God created in the first place, and then grow in that sharing it with others.

You will need to do some writing, such as doing a personal strengths inventory, and journaling.

Essentially it does not matter where you write things. If you use a book, if possible, use a beautiful book Why? Simply because you treat your beautiful book with greater respect. This is Your life after all that you are working through!

Whether you use an elaborate scrapbook, or an elegant leather bound book, make sure that you'll paste in picture images of the end-result you're believing God for. Pictures such out of magazines, or photos you take, that make your heart sing and stretches your faith.


Digital scrapbooking is really easy. Do some Google or Yahoo image searches. right-click on them, save them in an image file on your computer, and then upload them here on your personal page.

If you do digital scrapbooking, or indeed here on your own page at the inStrengths JOI Project, make sure that you protect your seedlings of faith. Some people you can share things with, and others you can't. Like with Joseph, there are times you'll need wisdom as to who you share your dreams with.

To this end, you have different privacy settings here on the inStrengths JOI Project. Pictures, videos, and blog entries you can set as entirely private for your eyes only, if you wish.

Above all have fun excavating the real you, the authentic you with the unique assignment God has on your life, and then align all that with all the various discoveries you make within your loved one.
